Australian cotton scarves

 Cotton, cotton, cotton.

Furthermore, Australian grown, spun and dyed from Full Circle Fibres, located in Queensland.  Seven colours left-over from a previous project now hand-woven into three colourful and patterned scarves.

Not the softness of my usual alpaca based scarves but giving you a choice of another natural fibre.  Can I interest you in a unique 100% Australia product?

Bendigo sock wool woven into scarves

More leftover, so this time 70% merino wool/30% nylon yarns from Bendigo Wool used in the stripped warps and bound together by a weft of champagne coloured 100% Australian alpaca from Tailored Strands.   Being leftovers one scarf is 1720mm long whilst the second is only 1440mm; a good length if you like wearing the scarf inside your coat or jacket.

Do you like strips?  How about the patterns?  I can vouch that they feel good.

Leftovers of Noro Kureopatora yarns with alpaca

 Do you like leftovers?

From my scraps of Noro Kureopatora, great things grow.

Hand-woven on an ocean blue coloured 100% Australian alpaca from Tailored Strands these 100% Australian wool Noro Kureopatora  yarns have produced an interesting coloured and patterned scarf.  Being 1630mm x 200mm and weighing 137g does it fit your size.  Of course it does, how big do you want it?

Noro Kureopatora last balls of yarn

The end of an era. I have just hand-woven the last two balls that I have of Noro Kureopatora 100% Australian wool.  Noro Blossom, Noro Mossa, and now Noro Kureopatora no longer available.

The variable colours in the yarn give rise to the strippedf bands of colours for which Noro are renowned for.  I weave the 100% banded colours on a warp of 100% Australian alpaca from Tailored Strands.  This time the theme is blue, using the ocean blue coloured alpaca yarn.  Colourful, soft feeling and sure to keep you warm and for the record they are nominally 1800mm x 200mm and weigh 150g.

Hand-woven stripped alpaca scarves

Continuing my series of longitudinal stripped scarves I have used stripes of emerald green, mocha brown, lavender and wisteria tied together with a champagne coloured yarn: All 100% Australian alpaca yarns from Tailored Strands.

Colourful, soft feeling and two patterns to choose from.  Are you spoilt for choice?
